We will conduct corrosion resistance evaluation tests for metals and surface treatments against saltwater using a salt spray testing machine.
This equipment conducts a salt spray test (SST) in which test specimens are exposed to an atmosphere continuously sprayed with a corrosive solution (sodium chloride aqueous solution). The salt spray test is one of the corrosion testing methods aimed at atmospheric corrosion, allowing for the evaluation of corrosion behavior that occurs over long periods to be compressed into a shorter time frame. The subjects of the test are metallic materials or surface-treated products such as plating or coatings, and the investigation includes the occurrence of corrosion, rust, discoloration, peeling, and blistering.
